I have been using Premier Tutoring for four years now for both my children to support their Year 11 and Year 12 studies. Before I started working with Fionn, I knew I had much more potential to improve in English. What I experienced, Fionn, truly reset my understanding of what was possible. Fionn is an extremely professional individual. He takes his responsibility of ‘tutoring’ well past just teaching the content. He understood who I was as an individual and set a very high standard for me when it came to discipline and getting tasks done, which was absolutely critical to how I stayed motivated throughout Years 11 and 12 and ultimately achieved great results.

As a teacher, Fionn understood the HSC English course to a standard I had never seen in anyone else. I know this because he could explain concepts so elegantly and beautifully in seconds, in a way that made perfect sense, that none of the teachers at school could do. This gave me confidence in English that I never had before and enabled me to easily prepare essays for any question because I understood the text and could comfortably articulate responses to any question. A lot of my friends at school had tutors who wrote their essays for them and I am so grateful that this was never entertained, not even in the slightest, by Fionn, because he was actually, and quite rarely, good enough to teach me how to write effectively myself. This allowed me to do just as well in my in-class exams as in my hand-ins, which would never have been possible with anyone else.

I found Fionn very professional. He understood how busy Year 12 was and would always get back to me quickly by email. I started lessons with Fionn half way through my HSC for legal studies, modern history and English Advanced. Prior to this, I was a B-range student who struggled to effectively express my knowledge and understanding of the subject within my work in a succinct and question-focused manner. However, over the course of six months working with Fionn I developed these skills to a level that would allow me to eventually succeed in the HSC, as I received band 6's in all subjects I studied with Fionn.

Alongside the improvement in results I saw overtime with Fionn, his passion and dedication in improving my work and the way I approached my schooling is unmatched to any teachers and academic mentors I've had. He provides a very carefully thought and tailored approach to his tutoring, which allowed me to actually understand the concepts and ideas I was writing about rather than regurgitating a rote-learned essay. The level of time and patience he devoted to my improvement is something I will never forget and I am forever grateful for.

Fionn is a dedicated and highly observant tutor. Fionn started working with my daughter for Legal Studies this year in Year 12. My daughter was losing drive for Legal Studies and her marks were reflecting her attitude, then she began tutoring with Fionn and her attitude and marks changed dramatically. Fionn very aptly observed her weaknesses and taught her how to express what was necessary to achieve higher marks and at all times he delivered his knowledge with incredible accuracy and intelligence. Fionn's dedication and passion for teaching is inspirational.
