Nikki believes that academic success comes from a motivated and engaged learning environment. Thus, she has a highly individualised approach to teaching in order to meet the unique needs of each student. She greatly appreciates a student’s input and will work alongside them when setting goals and identifying areas for improvement.
Nikki also aims to foster critical and independent thinking in her students by giving consistent and constructive feedback. In this way, her students will be regularly working on their weak points, and will therefore grow more confident in their abilities in the long term. Ultimately, Nikki hopes that her students will eventually be able to effortlessly adapt to any question they encounter outside her tutoring sessions.
Nikki is a committed tutor who diligently prepares before every lesson. She hopes that her students will not only excel academically but will also develop an excitement and eagerness for learning itself.
Nikki grew up in Beijing, China, before she moved to Sydney at four years old. She attended various primary schools, but finally settled at Queenwood School where she was a student from Year 7 to Year 12, graduating as HSC Dux in 2023.
During high school, Nikki was a passionate humanities student, studying the maximum possible units of History and English. Interestingly, she also loved maths, accelerating Mathematics Advanced and Extension 1 in Year 11. Outside the classroom, Nikki took on multiple extra-curricular activities, including debating, public speaking, and music (as a pianist and violinist), for which she achieved different accolades.
Nikki is continuing her education in the humanities and social sciences at Princeton University. When she is not tutoring, you can find Nikki attempting to make her way through an extensive list of books, movies, and TV shows.
