Jess graduated as Dux of Kambala HSC with an ATAR of 99.55, placing 20th in NSW for Business Studies and First at Kambala for Business Studies, Economics, Modern History, English Advanced and English Extension 1 (every humanity subject that she took at Kambala). She is currently studying a Bachelor of Commerce / Bachelor of Laws (Dalyell Scholars) at the University of Sydney under the University of Sydney Business School All-Round Excellence Scholarship. Jess continually works to foster a supportive, thought-provoking and personalised learning environment that inspires students to reach their full academic potential.

Approach to Tutoring:

Jess is a dedicated and passionate tutor, committed to creating a supportive environment where students feel empowered and motivated to engage with their academic work and reach their full potential. Jess values the importance of understanding the individual needs and capabilities of each student, and therefore her flexible and individualised approach to tutoring allows her to tailor each lesson according to students’ unique learning style.

Jess also encourages students to consolidate their understanding through regular practice, providing them with the opportunity to receive extensive feedback on exam style questions. In doing so, Jess strives to assist in refining and improving students’ exam technique in order to maximise their marks and ensure they feel prepared and confident for all upcoming assessments.

Biography:

Jess grew up in Vaucluse, Sydney, attending Kambala from Prep to Year 12. Throughout her time at school, Jess was involved in a variety of academic and extra-curricular activities, representing Kambala in touch football, soccer and debating, as well as achieving her Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award. Outside of tutoring, Jess is currently studying a Bachelor of Commerce/Law at the University of Sydney, where she is a resident at St Paul’s College.
