Words cannot do justice to the gratitude I feel towards Premier Tutors. My son who will complete his HSC in 2024 was always relatively academic, although potentially lacked the knowledge and building blocks to achieve greater heights. What I asked of Premier Tutors was the impossible….I could see that their tutors were indeed stellar academics, I asked for that, not help with content per se but to impart the study skills and understandings of a student, turned tutor, capable of achieving at the highest level.

My son’s need for tutoring arose due to his absences from school due to sporting commitments, which has seen him miss large blocks of in-class contact time, potentially threatening his ability to achieve his academic goals both at school and in the future at university. However the personalised tutoring from Premier Tutors has seen him not only cope, but flourish, where many of his friends have moved to an online mode, he in contrast, he has been able to stay connected to his school community and achieve academically.

I personally believe Premier Tutors are unparalleled in their professionalism and commitment to their students and families. If what you strive for as a parent is to equip your child with life long learning skills to take beyond their school years then I believe the investment you will make in Premier Tutors will be well worth it. I can only speak for my own son, but his personal growth when working alongside tutors of this calibre has not only increased his understanding of the content of his subjects it has bolstered his aspirations for life. He has been fortunate enough to work with Rhys and James throughout Year 10 and 11 and also had support from Emily this year. All three tutors are individual by nature of their specialisation in their chosen fields, but similar in their capabilities, professionalism and responsiveness as tutors due to the structure and support provided by the Concierge Team and the curriculum materials provided by Premier Tutors.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to my friends, I came to Premier Tutors through a friend recommendation, and have in fact shared my success story with two of my closest friends, who have also engaged Premier Tutors for their children and they too are reaping the benefits. In summary, please do not think I take this investment lightly, it is a significant investment, especially as I myself am an educator. However it is one of the most valuable investments, along with his school, that I could have made in my son and I could not be more satisfied with the return, regardless of his actual marks. Working with James at Premier Tutors has truly been one of the most rewarding decisions of my final year of schooling. Taking on 4 units of English felt like a colossal task, but James guided me gracefully and thoroughly, helping me rank first in Advanced English, Extension English 1 and Extension English 2 leading into my HSC exams – a feat that I never expected coming into Year 12. There was never a day that I wanted to skip a session, because he always created such a lovely and fun learning environment even in the most stressful of times. I’m so grateful I chose Premier Tutors, and even more grateful I chose James.

Economics was always a strength for me, and when I engaged Premier Tutors for Economics tutoring it was with the desire of working with someone who was truly exceptional and could help me reach the top of my potential. What I received with James totally exceeded my expectations.

Being able to work through the Economics course proactively with James, but also to have him available very close to assessments at high frequency, was the perfect support that I needed. Working proactively, with the Premier Tutors course notes, allowed me to cover the curriculum in advance to a standard much higher than that set at my school. But then, when I also got assessment tasks, having James assist in breaking down the essay questions and understanding exactly what I needed to do, saved me so much time. James was extremely knowledgeable about the course, which was surely a result of him doing well himself in the HSC for Economics, but also studying Economics at University. He could explain things to me so clearly and in a way that simply just made sense.

I have been using Premier Tutoring for four years now for both my children to support their Year 11 and Year 12 studies. James has been a friendly, dedicated and supportive tutor who has provided a wealth of knowledge. His explanations are always clear and easy to understand, which is especially helpful for complex and challenging topics in Economics. James also provides effective and relevant feedback and is always willing to look over my practice essays and exam responses, whether it be during the lesson or outside of tutoring hours. James has tutored me since the very beginning of my Year 12 English studies. In my early Year 12 English Journey, I had always felt comfortable within the boundaries of 3 unit English, never believing I had the ability to take it further to 4 unit, which was only advertised for the very best of the best English students. However, I wanted to challenge myself so I took it up, choosing the Short Story structure as my Major Work with a word limit of 6000 words. Within the first brainstorming and writing of my story in the 2 month Christmas holidays, I found it extremely difficult, contemplating whether I should even drop the course entirely. If it was not for James, I probably would have quit right then and there. James was unfathomable in his positivity, his guidance, his encouragement and his dedication to my own work. Even at times where I didn't even believe in myself, James was amazing in his understanding and support of my work! Whether it be late nights refining drafts of my story or culling entire scenes entirely to make room for better ones, James went above and beyond for me, offering advice on research, structuring and writing that saw me actually love story writing for the first time in my life. James is an amazing person to talk to in-between drafts, funny and undoubtedly very clever in his knowledge of literature. If you are someone who is looking for an English tutor who you can chat to about your problems within English or need someone to offer that helping hand to your own unique writing, James is the tutor for you!

James has only been tutoring my son for 1 term and already we have seen an amazing turn around in his English results.  For a boy who has never been a keen English student James has been the perfect tutor, managing to combine a sense of humour with encouragement, motivation and a wealth of knowledge.  I hope that James can continue working with my son all the way through to the HSC.
