Approach to Tutoring:

Cassidy enjoys exploring the length and breadth of the syllabus with her students to enrich essays and impress markers with their independent, insightful and creative thought. This is crucial for humanities subjects like History Extension and Economics. Complementing this, she exercises both a balance of patience and ambition, hoping to see her students achieve their full potential at their desired pace. In this way, her sessions ensure the students’ needs are paramount, yet guided by their desire to achieve.

Having been fortunate enough to be awarded the Ascham Scholars Prize for five consecutive years, she further understands the pivotal need to fully comprehend the material in all its depth, as well as seeking to help students communicate their own interpretation.

Cassidy ensures she remains engaged with the classroom and ATAR goals of her students, tailoring her lessons to fit their individual ambitions. With this in mind, she assesses the students’ strengths and what they have yet to learn to create a personalised plan that reflects their personality and academic goals.
