Zac is a high-achieving and experienced tutor who brings a strong technical foundation and a personalised, engaging approach to his teaching. Currently studying a double degree in Advanced Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering at UNSW with a high distinction average, Zac combines academic excellence with proven tutoring experience. Over the past three years, he has worked one-on-one with over 15 students, helping them build confidence, critical thinking skills, and a genuine passion for their subjects. In addition to tutoring, Zac is a member of the K–6 mathematics content writing team, where he is responsible for developing unique and thought-provoking questions for younger students.

Zac focuses on developing deep conceptual understanding before introducing mechanical or rote memorisation. His sessions are highly personalised, combining regular practice, detailed feedback, and clear communication to build both skill and confidence. His professional experience designing educational materials allows him to present complex ideas in simple, accessible ways, making learning both effective and rewarding. Additionally,Zac’s emphasis on attention to detail and disciplined presentation of working builds a strong foundation for confidence and clear communication in answering questions.
Zac grew up around Bondi, making it easy to nip down to the beach for a surf between his academic pursuits. He attended Bondi Public School fromKindergarten to Year 6, then moved to Rose Bay Secondary College for early high school. In Year 9, Zac transferred to Reddam House after receiving a full academic scholarship for the remainder of his schooling. He graduated from Reddam House with an ATAR of 99.90, placing 15th in NSW for Chemistry and achieving Band 6 results in all subjects.
Now at UNSW, Zac pursues his passion for mathematics alongside his interest in practical, real-world applications through his study of mechanical engineering.Outside of his studies, Zac plays guitar in two bands, leading him to occasionally tour interstate. He also avidly follows Formula 1 and is particularly interested in keeping up to date with the sport’s latest technical innovations.
