Approach to Tutoring:

Stella is deeply passionate about fostering both academic growth and meaningful personal connections with every student she teaches. She believes that a strong, reciprocal sense of trust is the foundation of effective learning - allowing students to feel supported, motivated, and confident in their abilities.

Her approach to teaching centres holistically around each student’s learning style in order to maximise their strengths, and thus develop weaknesses into eventual strengths by setting measurable goals.

Moreover, she wholeheartedly believes that finding a sense of enjoyment and inspiration in subject English can take it from merely tolerable to something a student strives to achieve in – despite the stresses of their final schooling years.  Improving your English skills should feel like hard work (because it is), but it should also feel fulfilling, meaningful, and fun!

Biography:

Stella grew up in a small, beachside suburb in NSW and attended Central Coast Grammar School from Kindergarten to Year 3. She then moved overseas with her family and lived in Bend, Oregon for 4 years. It was such an incredible experience that nurtured her love for traveling and broadened her worldview from a young age. Upon returning home, she completed years 7-12 and placed 4th in NSW for English Advanced as well as Band 6s in all her subjects. Stella is currently studying a Bachelor of Music (Performance) at the Australian Institute of Music.

As an extension of her passion in English, Stella is a musician who sings, plays piano and guitar and writes her own songs. She has also been learning more about how to self-produce. She dedicates a lot of her free time to this particular creative pursuit, but she also enjoys reading, drawing and exercising.
