Approach to Tutoring:

Sophie is dedicated to instilling a love of learning and deep understanding in her students across all subjects. She tailors her approach to each student’s personal goals, taking into account their individual strengths and weaknesses, as well as their learning style.

At the same time she understands that motivation, support and mindset are significant contributors to a student’s success, and thus aims to consider her students holistically rather than purely academically. Her approach combines excellent teaching with continual encouragement, developing a healthy mindset and drive in her students that will last well beyond their schooling years.

Biography:

Sophie attended Abbotsleigh from Kindergarten to Year 12. She was lucky enough to have many brilliant teachers under whose kind attention she could not help but grow in confidence and capability. Throughout her school years, she developed a broad interest in numerous subjects, and participated extensively in extra-curricular activities. Outside of tutoring, Sophie has completed her Gymnastics Australia Beginner Coaching Accreditation and has worked as a gymnastics coach. She is also involved with kids and youth ministry.
