Sophie is a dedicated tutor who prioritises both the holistic needs and desired achievement outcomes of her students above all. As an academic all rounder with strengths in mathematics, economics and chemistry, Sophie’s in-depth knowledge of syllabus topics allow her to assist students in forming an excellent basis of understanding.
Through HSC mathematics acceleration and the completion of a University mathematics course while in high school, Sophie has extensive experience in finding new teaching strategies to ensure that students perform at their best. Sophie is highly organised, a skill learned while juggling her year 12 and university studies while playing elite soccer. Sophie also completed the SAT at 16, scoring in the 99th percentile (1560/1600).

Sophie works closely with the student to identify challenge areas, ensuring that comprehensive learning strategies can be put in place. She encourages feedback from both students and parents to ensure that learning is tailored to student needs, whilst providing necessary assistance through marking.
Sophie creates a personalised learning environment that allows students to strive for and achieve academic excellence. She is passionate about teaching and helping others which ensures that all lessons are well prepared and organised.
Sophie attended Wenona school from Year 3 to Year 12, graduating in 2023 as Dux of the school while co-enrolled at the University of Sydney in a mathematics course.
Having a passion for both STEM and economics, Sophie is pursuing an economics and mathematics degree at Duke University in the US where she will benefit from the academic rigour and flexible learning model of an elite liberal arts college.
In addition to tutoring, Sophie enjoys playing and coaching sports, reading and travelling with her family.
