English has been Liam's passion for a number of years. When tutoring, Liam focuses on finding individual arguments and theses for each of his students, appreciating how important it is for each of his students to stand out from their cohort.
As a tutor, Liam wishes above all to be able to support his student not only academically, but also as a mentor. His tutoring style is based upon first reassuring his students that we have all been through school, and have made it through the HSC and explaining to them that the path to success in English is a simple, logical application of steps. Liam values taking a highly professional stance on planning and organising the time between sessions and assessments, so that each of his students has a flexible guideline for when to work, and for what to work on.
Liam's message is always to encourage confidence in his students, to ensure they know that they are not bound by what they are taught in the classroom or what everyone else in the cohort is using as evidence. This has been the cornerstone to producing students who have been strongly independent in examinations and have thrived, not struggled, with being put on the spot with unseen questions.
Liam was born in Sydney and grew up in the Eastern Suburbs. He went to Double Bay Public from K-2 and then Cranbrook from Y3-Y12 where he made many close friends. Liam has been enjoying studying Arts/Law at the University of Sydney for the last four years, where it has allowed him to combine his critical thinking in law with an English major in Arts.
Outside of tutoring and studying, Liam is a passionate musician. He loves to spend his time making things and being creative with my friends - whether that means taking photographs, making films or sharing philosophy.
