Josh promotes a meticulous, honest and efficient learning environment, enabling his students to meet and exceed their academic goals in a manner tailored to their unique needs. He works closely with his students to identify areas for improvement early on, aspiring to elucidate and resolve persistently misunderstood concepts and areas of the syllabus.
Josh inspires his students to think deeply about the most simple of concepts, exposing them to the nuances of their study and thereby sowing a real passion for their subjects. He provides regular and direct feedback both within and outside of lessons, with a view to developing his students into more confident problem solvers and scholars.
Josh prioritises realistic planning and organisation, and will work alongside his students to set goals and strive for improvement. Working ahead of their school curriculum, Josh’s students will be well equipped to master their subjects.
Josh grew up in Rose Bay, Sydney, and attended Cranbrook School on an Academic Scholarship, graduating as Dux of the school in 2021. A prefect and house captain, Josh immersed himself in extra-curricular life, being involved in debating, rowing, orchestra, robotics and philosophy.
Outside of tutoring, Josh debates and enjoys playing violin. He is currently nearing completion of his Gold Duke of Edinburgh award.
