A tutor like no other, Jesse achieved the best results in history for HSC English, placing outright 1$^\text{st}$ in NSW for both English Advanced and English Ext. 2, as well as 3$^\text{rd}$ in NSW for English Ext. 1. Jesse has produced exceptional results for his students, with every student that he has tutored achieving 97/100 (or higher) for the final HSC exam (and all students achieving 94/100 or higher overall).
Having tutored exclusively HSC English and a wide range of texts since 2019, Jesse knows the ins and outs of the rubrics and marking guidelines as well as the vital focus areas of each internal and external assessment. He is a friendly yet direct and clear communicator who offers comprehensive explanations for the poorly elaborated concepts in the classroom such as 'metalanguage' or 'textual integrity'. From dissecting the essay question to constructing thoughtful conclusions, Jesse's simultaneous attention to detail and consideration of the varied module-specific objectives of HSC English allows his students to perform exceedingly well in their internal and external assessments, who all achieved band 6s for English in their HSC exams.
Alongside his state ranks in English, Jesse scored high band 6s for all his language subjects, including $1^\text{st}$ in NSW for Chinese Continuers. Jesse graduated as the Dux of Cranbrook School, topping his candidature for all subjects he took.

Jesse's approach to each student is unique. He first works with the student to identify strengths and weaknesses in order to foster his tailored student-focused approach and strategise for the best mode of preparation for internal and external assessments.
In his lessons, Jesse emphasises the translation of thoughts and ideas into a fully cohesive and perceptive paragraphs and essay as well as the importance of voice and flair in students' writing. These skills are not text-specific but instead module-specific, which means that while each student's set texts may be different, they are in the best hands for each and every module of English Advanced, Extension 1 and Extension 2.
Ultimately, the key to effective English preparation is time management and organisation. As such, Jesse makes a point of focusing on foreplanning and personalised goal-setting so that each student's stress and nerves are managed whilst maximising their results.
Jesse grew up in the east of Sydney Australia, attending high school at Cranbrook School from year 7, where he graduated as Dux of the school in 2019. His last-minute decision to drop Chemistry and Extension 1 Mathematics in lieu of 4 units of English and extension languages which he was more passionate for lead him to his state ranks and current tertiary studies in literature and culture. Jesse was selected to attend the top university in the world for language and cultural studies, the University of Cambridge, where he is now studying Portuguese and German, focusing on philosophy, literature and linguistics.
