As an experienced and personable tutor, Jake is committed to empowering his students with first-principles understandings of concepts and developing critical thinking skills that enable them to approach even the most challenging questions with insight and confidence.

Guided by his student's short- and long-term goals, Jake balances his warm and friendly approach to tutoring with structured, outcome-focused discussions of concepts - emphasising their relevance to high-yield exam questions and assessment tasks. As the Director and Head Tutor of Biology at the firm, Jake also leads the Biology content development team at Premier Tutors and is exceptionally well versed in the course requirements, particularly for the new syllabus.

This utter commitment and support of his students extends beyond Jake's regular appointment times as well - encouraging students to contact him with questions whenever confusion may strike or clarification is needed throughout the week.

## Biography:

Jake grew up on the NSW Central Coast and attended Central Coast Grammar School (CCGS) from K-12. Throughout his schooling, Jake was passionate about balancing his academic commitments with a range of extracurricular and leadership opportunities, spanning from; debating and public speaking to concert bands, productions and representative level basketball. Looking forward, Jake hopes to pursue a career specialising in Paediatrics, where he can combine his passion for science with his positive energy and love for connecting with others.

Outside of his studies and tutoring, Jake has been actively involved in college life, living at University College (where he served as President in 2020) whilst enjoying the diverse opportunities and all too many coffees and almond croissants that Melbourne has to offer.

## Testimonials:

Jake is an exceptional tutor. With his guidance through Year 11 and 12 I was able to excel in Chemistry. As a challenging subject, Jake's best attribute is his ability to break down the content into easily understandable concepts. Jake taught me how to fully understand chemistry rather than just memorising the syllabus, and this undoubtedly led to my success in this subject. Jake always made himself available to me whenever I needed, outside of our regular weekly tutoring sessions. I can highly recommend Jake to anyone who is looking for a relatable, friendly, supportive, and incredibly knowledgable tutor.
