Jacob strongly believes in a healthy balance of structured and 'impromptu' learning and teaching styles. He provides students opportunities to learn important content through more conventional techniques, that pay off during assessment and examination, while also being open for less structured discussion and learning that enrich understanding beyond the course. Jacob challenges his students constantly as a means to provide the best guidance and opportunities for them to test their knowledge, and in doing so, learn the critical lessons ahead of their peers. He understands that tutoring serves practical goals first and foremost and is dedicated to providing the correct support, lessons and feedback that bring students to their academic goals.
Jacob initially grew up in Northmead, moving up to the Central Coast when he turned 7. At the end of Year 6 he attempted and passed the selective school examination but decided to attend the Central Coast Grammar School where was admitted with a full scholarship, and eventually graduated as Dux of the school. Jacob has since moved back down to Sydney, and is studying at the University of Sydney a Bachelor of Advanced Computing, majoring both in Computer Science and Economic Policy.
Jacob enjoys all things tech and is constantly on a quest to stay on top of all the most recent developments in the industry. He attends events and competitions regularly to stay sharp and meet new people and enjoys socialising over a good plate of food.
