Everything Hannah does in her tutoring is focused on equipping her students with study skills, and confidence in their knowledge in order that they may excel in their school, and in the final exams. With an average mark of 96 across 10 units, Hannah understands the pursuit of excellence, and is adept in enabling students to meet and exceed their expectations.
She does this by inspiring and teaching them not only what to study, but how to do so effectively. Informed by her own interactions with exceptional educators, she believes in the importance and power of feedback, and aims to develop a consistent rhythm of communication with each student to establish regular feedback sessions.
Alongside a thorough, deep understanding of the content, Hannah equally values an appreciation - or even enjoyment - of the subject. She actively encourages curiosity, even if it stretches beyond the school syllabus and brings an infectious passion for learning to her tutoring. An accomplished and dedicated tutor, Hannah always goes above and beyond to meet your child’s needs and is an excellent communicator, always ready to provide helpful guidance, steadfast support, and encouragement.
Hannah was born and raised Auckland, New Zealand, before moving to Australia to finish primary school at an Opportunity Class. She then commenced at Tara Anglican School for Girls in Year 7 on a full All-Rounder Scholarship, and graduated from Tara as Dux of the school.
At Tara, she served as the Community Prefect and was involved in five different music ensembles, alongside her role as the longest-serving SRC member and Tara Ambassador. Her extensive experience in public speaking and debating, which began in Year 5, has equipped her with exceptional communication skills.
While Hannah has a strong interest in biology—evidenced by her involvement in the first Australian high school team to compete in iGEM, an international synthetic biology competition—her true passions are in mathematics and chemistry. Although she was accepted into studying a Doctor of Medicine at UNSW, she ultimately decided to pursue a PhB at the ANU supported by the Tuckwell Scholarship, in which she is able to pursue research projects alongside her undergraduate program.
Alongside her coursework, Hannah is actively involved in university life, including as a First Year Representative for the ANU Science Society, and is the Finance and Logistics Co-Director for the ANU Women in STEM Leadership Conference for 2025. Outside of tutoring, she enjoys volunteering at aged care facilities with her brother, and indulging in a wide range of historical fiction books. Social sport at her college is also a highlight of the semester, and she is an avid runner, working towards a half-marathon.
