Graduating from Sydney Grammar with an outstanding ATAR of 99.90 and 3 NSW state ranks, Christian is a Maths and Science tutor at Premier Tutors who also offers support for Italian. Christian scored 96/100 in Biology, which placed him 7$^\text{th}$ in NSW, 97/100 in Chemistry and the mid-90s in both Mathematics Ext. 1 and Ext. 2. Christian has had a long history of being a high achiever and all-rounder academically, finishing as the Dux of Sydney Grammar Preparatory School, as well in the top 5 students throughout most of his time at Sydney Grammar High School.

Approach to Tutoring:

Everything Christian does as a tutor is intended to furnish his students with a broad base of prior knowledge and a precise set of independent skills, such that they may become more competent and thus more confident students. He recognises that lasting passion for a subject can be as important to long-term success as engendering effective exam practices, efficient study habits, and broad knowledge bases. He sees his task as a tutor as fourfold:

Balancing short-term goal setting (i.e. achieving a certain mark on a future assessment) with long-term improvement in the subject.
Balancing proficiency and growth in measuring improvement (i.e. a proficiency-based approach measures success in terms of the reaching of minimum standards, whereas a growth-based approach measures success in terms of relative improvement on the student’s previous standard.)
Balancing a relentlessly structured and process-based approach to all subjects with an understanding that methods of study are fundamentally organic and must be encouraged, rather than forced to change.
Balancing a need to be faultlessly prepared for any assessment with a desire for enrichment beyond the curriculum.
