Charlotte is invested in her students’ goals and ambitions, working alongside them to motivate, teach and guide them on the pathway towards success—however the individual student may define it. Recognising that not all students learn in the same way, Charlotte communicates with her students to ensure that she is facilitating a learning environment that is tailored to their needs. Another component of working to the student’s needs is identifying their individual strengths and weaknesses, something Charlotte does to ensure all tutoring sessions are focused and relevant to the student.
Charlotte believes in the importance of critical thinking. Critical thinking not only pushes a response into the top band but replaces the need for memorising unnecessary amounts of information. Above all, Charlotte believes in her students and encourages them to believe in themselves and their capacity to excel in whatever they put their mind to.
Charlotte grew up in Mosman, Sydney, attending Loreto Kirribilli from Kindergarten through to year 12. A keen supporter of the 2019 Mock trial competition, Charlotte decided to study Law after high school, despite not choosing Legal Studies for the HSC. Charlotte engages herself in both sides of her combined degree, through participating in the Brennan Justice and Leadership Program at UTS and the Women’s College Investment Club.
In addition to tutoring and her studies, Charlotte is invested in the stock market and spends some of her spare time seeking to learn more about the market, economy, and different investment avenues. Other spare time is spent with her chocolate Labradoodle or reading/watching a great non-fiction book or documentary (she recommends Brief Answers to the Big Questions by Stephen Hawking for a short but interesting read).
