Annelise is passionate about allowing students to maximise their confidence and skill in their academic performance, and foster a passion for learning. She aims to create a engaging learning environment, whilst tailoring her lessons to best fit individual needs and learning styles.
Her approach is focused on identifying both the strengths and areas for improvement of each student, providing constructive feedback, and guiding them to set and achieve personalised goals.
Annelise also aims to foster a deep understanding and critical thinking skills. She is able to do this by diversifying question types and offering thorough, thoughtful explanations that encourage students to think analytically and independently. Such understanding not only allows for significant improvement in results and adaptability in facing questions, equips students with the problem-solving skills and intellectual flexibility that extend far beyond the classroom.
Annelise grew up in Cammeray, attending Cammeray Public School before moving to Abbotsleigh from Year 4 to Year 12. Through her school years, she was provided a variety of opportunities including Debating, netball, touch football. This broad involvement in school life led her to be elected to a role of Prefect in her final year.
Her passion for science and maths was evident in her subject choices, and has extended in her choice to complete a Bachelor of Biomedicine. She plans to major in Psychology, exemplifying her passion of interacting and understanding people.
In addition to tutoring, Annelise enjoys spending time with friends and family or her dog. She loves the beach, especially with a book, a podcast or some good music.
