Andrew firmly believes in teaching his students efficient exam techniques and foster a deep fundamental understanding of concepts rather than memorisation of the content. By breaking down key concepts into simple components, Andrew is able to clearly communicate the theory and train his students to recognise linkages between concepts. This systematic approach aims to facilitate his students to develop critical thinking skills, allowing them to think on their feet and be agile to adapt to exam questions.
Ultimately, Andrew adapts personalised teaching strategies to suit each student’s different needs and weaknesses. By simultaneously consolidating the content at school and teaching ahead of the school schedule, Andrew helps his students to build confidence in tackling various types of unfamiliar questions, in turn motivating each student to reach their academic goals.
Andrew attended Knox Grammar School from Year 6 and enjoyed a long history of academic success. Graduated from Knox in 2018 as an all-rounder and a top achiever, Andrew ranked top 10 in all of his subjects and came 2nd for Economics and English Advanced in a cohort of 350 students.
Outside of the classroom, Andrew is an avid basketball player and excelled in a range of extra-curricular activities at school including cadets, debating and mock trials. He also undertook various social justice projects, such as volunteering overseas in Cambodia.
Andrew has decided to pursue his passion for finance and is currently studying Bachelor of Commerce and Laws at the University of Sydney.
