Ana is passionate about sharing her love for learning with her students and providing meaningful support to help them achieve their best. Conscious of the importance of a tailored approach to tutoring, Ana adapts individual needs and learning style of the student, ensuring they are getting the most possible out of lessons. During lessons, she listens actively to the student, encouraging them to ask questions and clarify understanding.
Ana believes that whilst practice is important, first gaining a deep and thorough understanding of concepts is essential to success. Additionally, Ana ensures the student’s study skills are being addressed, as she knows organisation and effective time management are crucial skills for a high school students.
Ana’s positive attitude and commitment to providing regular assessment and feedback makes her a valuable resource for students seeking to improve their knowledge and skills.
Ana was born in England and lived there for a few years, before moving to small town in France where she completed primary school. She moved to Sydney when she was 10 and soon after was offered a full scholarship (from Year 7-12) to attend Wenona School, from which she graduated as Dux in Year 12..
She made the most of school opportunities, balancing extracurriculars, including basketball, orchestra and stage band, starting a fundraiser as House Captain, and completing her Piano AmusA in her final year of high school. Whilst being an all-rounder who’s topped English, Art, Music and Languages throughout high school, Ana’s love of learning is driven by an interest in STEM subjects, especially Maths and Chemistry. Ana is currently studying Medicine at UNSW.
When not tutoring, Ana enjoys playing in musical groups or playing social sport with friends.
