We are looking to build our experienced content development team with new K-6 Mathematics content developers. You will be involved in writing our K-6 Mathematics courses for families that we tutor and homeschool at Premier Tutors to ensure that our lessons are supported with effective teaching and learning material.

  • Location: Sydney, Australia (Bondi Junction) or Remote (Online)
  • Type: Casual, Part-time and Full-time

As a K-6 Mathematics content developer, you will:

  • Assist in authoring Premier Tutors’ proprietary K-6 Mathematics course notes (inc. arithmetic algebra, measurement, geometry, probability and problem-solving)
  • Producing well-research academic content and homework exercises for publication online and in print
  • Organise writing schedules to complete drafts of content or finished projects within deadlines
  • Utilise best practices and familiarity with Premier Tutors’ mission to inspire ideas and content
  • Working cross-functionally with a content manager and other members of the content development team to ensure timely delivery of work
  • Learn how to use $\LaTeX$ highly proficiently for content development and publication

About You:

You’ll thrive as a K-6 English content developer if you:

  • Have a strong and passionate interest in producing academic content
  • Have a strong and passionate interest in primary and/or higher level Mathematics
  • Very strong proficiency using computers
  • Exhibit analytical reasoning and critical thinking skills
  • Practice candour with your colleagues to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Work autonomously, creatively, and kindly with your teammates while empowering and supporting those around you
  • Have an ability to adhere very closely to style guides and publication policies
  • Have demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong time management skills, including prioritising, scheduling, and adapting as necessary
  • Have an ability to multitask and research efficiently; you can efficiently synthesise content from multiple sources
  • Show commitment to quality and attention to detail
  • Have an ability to learn rapidly and be able to apply new knowledge in practice
  • Have a good understanding of the Australian and/or British education system(s)

Not essential, but highly regarded:

  • Proficiency or familiarity with $\LaTeX$
  • Experience with the NSW selective school admissions system
  • Primary School teaching experience in Australia or in the United Kingdom
  • Experience with the Australian or British scholarship/school admissions process and exams
  • Otherwise previous experience in education (tutoring or another education company)
