Approach to Tutoring:

Kate is dedicated to helping her students maximise their academic potential, realise their expectations, and sustain excellent results. She believes in the necessity of flexibility in tutoring and is committed to making sure each student has a worthwhile experience.

Kate strives to create an engaging and rewarding environment: where the student is able to achieve both their academic goals and strengthen skills from critical thinking and analysis to working under timed pressure.

Moreover, Kate is passionate about supporting the student, consistently providing preparation and feedback to help the student effectively utilise lesson times and feel ready for any assessments. Ultimately, she wants to help students feel confident in their academic abilities.

Biography:

Before moving to Australia, Kate lived overseas in China, where she learned both Chinese and English. Since then, Kate has attended Pymble Ladies’ College from Year 6 to Year 12, graduating with Distinctions and achieving excellent results in the HSC.

Being very strong at a range of humanity subjects at school (extension levels of both English and History), and doing a range of language arts co-curricular activities (debating, mock trial and Model UN), Kate will be continuing to pursue her interests in politics and international relations through her tertiary studies. She has been studying Law at the University of Cambridge for the last three years.

Outside of tutoring, Kate enjoys consolidating her knowledge about the world through a variety of mediums, whether it’s reading an article or listening to a podcast, she will be keeping up somehow. She cherishes the company of her friends, never missing the opportunity to chat over brunch.
